Rock Extensions is a fork of
MobileSubstrate, which is notorious among the developers that make MobileSubstrate extensions behave erroneously. It cannot run on 3.x.
Difference with MobileSubstrate
- Foundation.framework will always be loaded in Rock Extensions, while MobileSubstrate will not (in the newer versions). This may cause problems in some apps like Skype.
- Rock Extensions has better crash handling than MobileSubstrate. For example, it features a crash reporter, and crashing extensions will be automatically disabled.
- Rock Extensions uses an old fork of MobileSubstrate, which may miss some improvements.
- Rock Extensions is closed-source.
